Our film (produced in Maine) features performances by over a dozen children and is a celebration of children's imagination and the power of creativity.
Sentinels recently screened at CIFF in a showcase of family films and also DC Shorts along with many other festivals. Writer/director Matthew Luhrman is originally from the Bay Area (Santa Cruz) and is thrilled to bring his film back to his hometown for a Bay Area premiere.
Determined to save her father from a worsening illness, an imaginative girl attempts to conjure magical guardians to protect him. But when her tempestuous younger brother sabotages her mission, she must find a way to heal the rift
before her whole family crumbles apart.
